Christian and I are running a little late. We should be at the meeting spot around 12:30. We look forward to seeing everyone!

I've loaded the .gpx for the Bradshaw Trail in both the new tablet setup and the old Garmin Montana that I usually use.

I've also found the trail in my old DeLorme Atlas & Gazetteer for a paper topo version of the trip.

Kat and I will be at the coordinates by the Salton Sea at or before noon. I'll be in a lifted red 1985 Jeep Scrambler CJ-8.

We'll see you fellow adventure seekers tomorrow!

I was planning on going but my wife wasn’t comfortable being alone at house.  I know of at least three who are planning on showing up at the original rendezvous at Noon.  And I was looking forward to the shakedown for my new trailer!

Just heard that Newsom issued stay-at-home.  How will that affect our trip?

Just realized that the trip is officially cancelled, but that some people are going to go anyway. How may people and who will be meeting at the coordinates at noon?

We may still join the unofficial group, but I want to be sure I'm not driving a few hours if no one is now going.

    Who is going?

Well, CA State Parks just cancelled my reservation and closed their campgrounds.  However, they are keeping the restrooms and grounds open.

I was originally going over early for convenience but now I will just meet up with everyone at noon.

    Hi Jim.

Coming from the healthcare field, I wanted to share that parks across the country are encouraging folks to pursue outdoor activities and camping during this time. These activities provide natural separation and fresh air, not to mention mental health,  as opposed to places such as cooped up in airplanes, conference rooms, and other tight quarters where viruses easily spread.

I have no concerns about this event.

    Thank you.

    Anne

    Hi Anne

Agree 100%, I'm certain people living in rural outdoor areas are doing fine.

I'd like to update to Jim & all,

Had my physician evaluation by phone short while ago, just following protocol with ongoing pandemic. My prognosis is a common cold, not to be concerned unless fever, shortness of breath occur, which I do not have since cold of 5 days ago. Today, I 'm 75% better I'd still like to consider attending, however, evaluating day to day, I'll see if I'm back to 100% by Thursday and will post accordingly. Any lingering symptoms, I will stay home and not put anyone at risk.

    Thanks

    -Kenny
