Scott Holcomb will be riding with me out to Broadwell.  He was formerly scheduled to go to Cuddeback, but no one from Cuddeback spoke up to give him a ride.  Once we are at Broadwell, we will try to place him with another driver and he can navigate for the Op.

I'll be at Broadwell base camp Friday, most likely before noon if all goes well.  I've a +1 coming Saturday morning, who will be my nav/radio operator in my pickup.  Looks like we'll have comfy temps and mostly clear skies, with light winds. With no moonlight, I'm hoping to try some star photography (I may get up in the middle of the night with my camera, so don't be alarmed).  I'm bringing a little firewood, too :)  -NR6T

We will be having a Net Saturday evening at 8:00 pm on 3.905 voice so listen in at that time.  Not sure yet of the times when traffic will pass during the Saturday Op but we will hopefully have the info posted.  I believe they will be using Hf digital Contestia during the day.

OK thanks Jim. I will be voice only, so I will give the net a shot at 8pm.

Operators...you will need the following information for this upcoming event...Below are two links to Trip Information Sheets, that contain Waypoints to the Base Camp at each location.  Please download the sheet for the location you will be attending so that you can find the Base Camp.  As always, a Net Control will be established at each base, and they will be monitoring 145.555 simplex, as well as the Big Bear Repeater, which should provide coverage in both locations (this is yet to be determined).  We will be holding a Net Saturday evening at 8:00 pdt on 3.905...if frequency is busy, move up a few MHz until you find us.

My wife Karen, now KM6WBM, will be coming along as well, by the way. Looking forward to it!

Attention all operators.  Scott is in need of a ride so if you have room lets see if we can accommodate him at either of the locations.  Thanks, Greg

    Hi Folks,

I mentioned during the meetup in Irvine that I will not be able to make this. However I am hoping I can participate from afar just for the practice. I will be in Pismo Beach, which is 177 miles due west of Cuddyback Lake. I'll have HF on the mobile. I'd like to try a NVIS contact.

Can we coordinate a date/time/freq for me to try and check in to the net? I'm a new member and I haven't been out with you folks before, but I think it would be a fun exercise.
