Last gas is in Olancha, 601 S. US-395 near CA-190 turnoff. Per GasBuddy the price for regular was $4.39 on 3/27.
Getting a permit is easy. You need to watch a 3 minute video and then take a 8 question quiz. After passing the quiz you get your permit and it's good until 12/31/2019. Print it out and I keep it in my vehicle.

Remember to renew your California Campfire Permit for 2019 if you have not already done so. Permits are good for calendar year.
