Any update on this? I'd also like to work the event if it doesn't conflict with a Land Ops event... (would prefer a date change of the Land Ops event)
I have made contact with the race directors for the event.
This year is the same as last year and here is a link to the three courses:

The race will be on Friday afternoon/evening and then again on Saturday more racing will take place.
The races are typically not just on one road or area as there are multiple routes and starting areas.
Personally I would rather see the date change. I will be working the race (HAM Coms) so a location change on the same date means I miss the outing.
This is a great area for a Land Ops outing and I would love to come back on a rescheduled date.
The rally web site claims that the roads used are closed for their exclusive use. Race is one vehicle at a time against the clock, not head to head. This probably means that the event will take a while to complete.
I suggest contacting the race officials to see what areas are not being sequestered for their event. If there is an overlap or the areas planned to be used with the closed course then we need to reschedule or re-locate the op.

Tim Sperry AG6RS just alerted me to the race going on in and around Jawbone Canyon on the same weekend of our op.
Please weigh in. Change location, date?
