The Nov HF Recon has a specific goal of creating conditions where NVIS is required. We plan on having a triangulated relay so that we can talk to each other as we move around mountains to find DX black out conditions.

This would be a perfect opportunity to do this again between Northern and Southern California.

I will be on the air on Friday 10/6/17 at 4pm on 7072.5 (dial frequency) using Contestia mode 4/125 around 1100 in the waterfall. Anyone can give me a call. Rick W8KO

If you have never used digital modes, this is great time to try with no pressure. Contestia mode is available in Ham Radio Deluxe DM780 and also in FLDIGI.

I will be waiting for your calls.

Saturday 10/7/17, 6pm on 3582.5 dial frequency, Contestia 4/125, feel free to call in.

I will be with the NorCal group at Bald Mountain, near Shaver Lake.

I will try some APRS message contact to you guys at Opal.

This 70cm repeater system may reach both areas as well.

    http://www.kernsystem.org

446.320 - PL 141.3 Double Mt. might reach the Opal Mountain area (from high ground).

447.860 - PL 141.3 Frazier Mt reaches into the area around Bald Mountain.

I will post here before the op some times that we will be on HF from the op.

Most likely it will be on 40 meters during the day using digital mode Contestia 4/125. We will be communicating hopefully with our Nor Cal group and also AG6RS (Tim) in Long Beach.

For any operators that can't make the op, we welcome you to contact us.
