Fellas,
I'm not going to be able to make it. Our rental is empty and I've got to get it into market condition quickly before we get hit with too many mortgage payments. I'm so sorry I'll miss this one. I've been looking forward to it and thought I might be able to get things done in time......Sorry for bailing.
Better to use 145.525 for now. There is an uncoordinated repeater using 145.555 in the Inland Empire and the users are chatterboxes. 145.525 will be the primary simplex for the DV Op.

Are we setting up a HSMM-mesh network for this op? If so, I'd like to know what apps we will be using on the network.
Ok, here's what I found on Google, let me know if there is a better way...
Loading in as follows:
Foxtrot - 36.281788°, -118.005847° Echo - 36.430001°, -117.824375° Delta - 36.364023°, -117.625855° Charlie - 36.431334°, -117.631372° Bravo - 36.433405° -117.630874°
I'm leaving South OC early Friday, so hoping to be up there before noon. Will connect with everyone on simplex on approach.

Jim, Awesome, thanks. I saw coordinates posted just now for gas, cabin, and fallback positions. Very new to Death Valley, so eager for any additional waypoints for turnoffs, forks, etc. I'll start googling this week to see what I can find, but appreciate any help from the experienced group.
Thanks!
I'm sure final instructions are being prepared, however I believe the tentative camp location is at 36.433457,-117.630762 which is also the location of what is known as Boxcar Cabin. Weather should be high 60's to low 70's during the day, and 38-42 degrees at night, so dress accordingly. And at this point, there is no rain forecast....
Hi there! Any updates on coordinates for base camp? I've never been to Death Valley before, so want to plan my route as soon as I can.
Hope everyone is doing well!
Mine SAR t-shirt is coming next week. I'll wear it for the recon and see how it looks.
