Hi Matt...we had a great trip in late July with Land Ops.  We camped at 37.22988,-118.49288 which is pretty central and isn’t too bad for mosquitoes.  We fished at Baker lake and caught several bookies and Golden’s.  It’s  about a mile hike from the end of the road at Baker Meadow.  Trail can be hard to find so take a gps.

We did not try to go to Funnel Lake as it’s a pretty rough road and we never heard any great fish reports from there.

The road up there is rougher than prior years, but still easily doable with 4wd and low range.
