Baofeng Tech has just released a unique HT radio from Anytone.  It features 2m/440cm with crossband repeat...AND GMRS AND MURS all in one radio.  Anytone TRM8R Radio. You can't use GMRS at the same time as the amateur, however it is handy to have one radio that can do it all.  While it is more expensive than many Baofeng radios, it has upgrade able firmware, 200 channels with 10 memory banks, weather band, fm receive, and lots more.  I just ordered one to play with and will give a review after using it awhile.

Just got it and programmed it.  A few tricks using the software, but it's similar in programming to my Anytone dual band mobile.  Ordered a hi gain Comet antenna.  Will probably use it as GMRS radio more than Ham, but nice to have all in one package.  Of course GMRS requires license too (WQOX450) so another reason for Land Ops members to get licensed for the bands.  You can't monitor both bands though.  You have to turn on and select Normal (ham), Part 95 (GMRS) or Part 95 (MURS).  Buts it's a pretty solid radio.
