Op Overview:
You will learn how to deploy caches and setup a Land Ops course in a teamwork fashion. In this exercise you will deploy the caches in reverse making things a little trickier than you might expect. The more sophisticated the op, the more complex the deployment.
If you already know how to setup a Land Ops course your experience and skills will be needed.
This is a New Op Style – Deploy by Day Play by NightThe Land Ops playbook has many different types of ops.
Saturday Overview
Purpose of introducing this op
It has been said that the Land Ops set-up team has the most fun. Why? This is your chance to find out. The purpose of this op is to share the set-up experience with all members. This will help prepare new set-up teams to deploy various types of games in the future. As the club emerges from the cold pandemic shutdown, we aim to grow our unique style of adventure beyond our current geography. Allowing all members to engage in setting up an op is the most obvious way to achieve herd immunity, oops, I meant to say herd capability. Holy moly…been couped up way too long.
Added Appreciation & Benefit Deploying the course during the day and then playing it out the op at night will help to demonstrate how much the night changes everything. You will be changing lines and conducting the final exercise at night. Safe to say...it will feel like a completely different op than the one you set up during the day.
Op Plan
Two teams, Alpha and Bravo will deploy the op during the day light hours. Each team handling a line of caches. There are seven instruction caches in all. Three alpha line and three bravo line plus one common rendezvous cache name. After dinner this becomes a night op and the teams changes lines and play out the op.
