Some of you may remember the larger and more sophisticated ops of our past.  Welcome back to a time of great adventuring.

After the most strict lockdowns and over a year and a half of COVID chaos and political BS we don't want to just return to normal. We demand much more! We are coming back out with a spirit of adventure that will blow away fear, strengthen our resolve as a free people, and prepare and equip you with skills for an exciting new era. THURSDAY NOV 18, 2021

  • Thursday afternoon and PM the advance team arrives to the area of operation to establish basecamp, setuyp camp and prepare to deploy course on Friday.

FRIDAY NOV 19, 2021

  • 9:00 AM Net control goes live to manage radio traffic for arriving participants and setup operations.
  • 12:00 PM Early check-in station opens at noon.
  • Additional supporting members arrive throughout the day.
  • Setup team deploys the planned four line (4 team) navigation course and night hike caches.
  • Early arriving participants and guests setup their camps.
  • Campfires and comradery abound into the evening
  • Members and participants skilled in night navigation arrive throughout the evening

SATURDAY NOV 20, 2021 (Itinerary subject to changes)

If you are arriving Saturday morning plan on being early so you can attend the 10:00 AM orientation meeting.

8:30  AM  - Official event registration/check-in opens at net control station (look for Land Ops flag)

10:00 AM  - ORIENTATION for all participants (bring a chair) (you will be assigned to a team during this orientation. Break into your teams for meet and greet at end of orientation.

11:30 AM  30 MIN WORKSHOP SESSIONS (choose one to attend)
Sessions will repeat at 12:30 PM

  • Navigation (GPS devices, handheld & onboard systems, decimal system)
  • Communication (Radio protocols, closed net, team tac frequencies)
  • Driving & Recovery (Safety, climbing & backing down hills, recovery points)

12:00 PM  - LUNCH TIME

12:30 PM 30 MIN WORKSHOP SESSIONS (choose one to attend)

  • Navigation (GPS devices, handheld & onboard systems, decimal system)
  • Communication (Radio protocols, closed net, team tac frequencies)
  • Driving & Recovery (Safety, climbing & backing down hills, recovery points)

TEAMS RED ALPHA & FREMONT HIKE TEAM
1:30 PM  - STAGING AREA
2:00 PM  - LAUNCH by Net Control

SUNDAY NOV 21, 2021
Extra Curricular (optional) activities by Supporting Partners

8:00 AM       
Advanced Readiness briefing (AR briefing). Bring your own coffee. This presentation is recorded for webisode and/or podcast use.

9:00 AM
God’s Word Applied Now - Presentation by brothers in Land Ops.

10:30 AM
Target Shooting – target practice, brought to you by The Second Amendment.


NOV 20TH OP DETAILS

Vehicle Communications
Vehicle to vehicle comms will be 2 meter for hams and/or FRS for non-hams. Freqs to be announced
2 meter primary frequency = 145.555 MHz
FRS = channel 1 (no privacy code)

Net Control Communications

  • VHF/UHF - Vehicles will communicate with net control on 2 meter and/or UHF depending upon crossband repeater setups.
  • HF – nets will be based on available operators
  • APRS – turn it on if you have it for shared awareness

Night Operation
There will be a night op scheduled for this unique event. If you have not been to a Land Ops "Night Op" you are not going to want to miss this event. Full on night operations mode. Lights out, radio silence, and unique tasks will make this night op quite memorable.
