Meet & Greet / Mini Op / Poker Run

We are going to mix it up this trip with a Meet & Greet to welcome visitors to the club and to hold a Poker Run to explore Old City Drive (1N09), South of Big Bear.  The meetup location is off Hwy 330 about 1.5 Miles East of the Fire Station. We will have a Meet & Greet meeting and then depart on the trail to have some fun and explore a trail that many have never explored.  Please allow sufficient travel time as we want to get started on time.

This is a perfect opportunity to get to know Land Ops and your 4x4 vehicle.

The Trail will be 1N09, which winds east from Hwy 330 about 22 miles along the foothills south of Big Bear.  The trail is easy to moderate.mostly easy.  All stock 4x4 vehicles should easily make the trail, however some all wheel drive SUV's may struggle on one hill.  Low Range vehicle is not mandatory.  The trail should take no more than 4 hours.  All vehicles should bring the following:

• A chair for everyone in your vehicle primarily for the Meet & Greet portion of the day.
• Lunch, water and snacks for everyone in your vehicle.
• Be sure your vehicle has a spare tire, and the usual offroad trail gear.
• Be sure you have a gps in the vehicle.  A handheld gps will not be necessary.
• Ham Radio or FRS Radio.
• A full tank of fuel.
  
• Jacket-it may be cooler if the group decides to take Clarks Grade up into Big Bear after the Poker Run.
