Explore the El Paso Mountains with Land Ops. Visit areas of historical interest in and around basecamp. This will be a fresh new style of Land Ops for those who have been with us a while. All levels of membership encouraged to attend.

DUAL BASECAMP INVITATION

Land Ops welcomes other operators from anywhere including Arizona and Northern California, Idaho (anywhere) to conduct concurrent operations near their region and coordinate HF radio contacts in the early evening on Saturday Oct 22, 2022. Be sure to sign up on this site and indicate if you are going to be in the field anywhere besides the El Paso Mountains in California.

COMMUNICATIONS
Vehicle Communications
Vehicle to vehicle comms will be 2 meter for hams and/or FRS for non-hams. Freqs to be announced
2 meter primary frequency = 145.555 MHz
FRS = channel 1 (no privacy code)

Net Control Communications

VHF/UHF - Vehicles will communicate with net control on 2 meter and/or UHF depending upon crossband repeater setups.
HF – nets will be based on available operators
APRS – turn it on if you have it for shared awareness
