Jeff, if you have a small quiet generator, bring it along, and perhaps another ezup as well.  We aren't sure what the lay of the land will be and whether there will be power or not.  I have my Goal Zero which will run things for awhile, and Greg has his batteries for his Go Box, but better to have extra than not have it at all!

Thanks and see you up there!

Ok.  I will start up the mountain around 6 am ish.  I will be on the Big Bear repeater and our simplex.  I can bring an extra ez up and table if you think we need it.  Will we need a generator or are we going strictly battery?  Sorry for the 20 questions.

I'm planning on arriving around 8:00 am to start the setup and I believe Greg & Candy are planning sometime similar.  We will have table for materials and demo, plus tv monitor for videos and an ez-up for shade.  I'm picking up the flag and banner tomorrow to bring up.  I believe Field Day officially starts for ARRL contesting at 11:00 am, but I believe the BBARC people will be there at around 8am for their set up as well.

What time are we planning on arriving and setting up?  Caravan up the mountain?

The calendar event description has been updated.  We will be setting up a table with the BBARC Field Day at Bear Mountain Resort.  Russ, it’s would be great to set up a demonstration Mesh to show how it works.

I will bring my mesh equipment.  We can roam the hills around the lake and set up a mesh network.

Radio clubs seem to have the worst websites... probably better to try and get on one of their nets tomorrow morning:

    08:00 3.935 MHz

    09:00 on their 2M and 440 repeaters

    details on their website:

I'm curious for more details as well. I just got my General ticket last night :)

Hi guys...we’re working out details now.  We will probably set up for the day with the BBARC at Bear Mountain Resort to demonstrate our Land Ops capabilities. It isn’t decided yet if we will have a mini-op or not.  As soon as I get more info from BBARC, we will update info.

    Stay Tuned!

Any info on where this is going to be held?  I can't find anything on the Big Bear repeater website and I am trying to iron out my plans.
